About The Position

iCapital is seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President or Senior Vice President to join the Corporate Development and Strategy team. This role will be instrumental in driving iCapital’s long-term growth across the wealth and alternatives ecosystem by leading the evaluation, planning, and execution of both organic and inorganic strategic initiatives. This individual will work directly with senior leadership across the organization and will help shape iCapital’s strategic direction and provide leverage by driving cross‑functional alignment, accountability, and momentum to ensure successful implementation of key initiatives.

Requirements

  • 7-15+ years of experience in corporate development or strategy, investing (PE/VC), investment banking, or a similar strategic role
  • Experience in an entrepreneurial, performance-driven environment. A financial technology or financial services background is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating and supporting M&A transactions, partnerships, and strategic negotiations
  • Strong interest in alternative investments, wealth management, and building an industry-defining company
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environments with competing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Highly self-motivated with a strong work ethic, ownership mindset, and a high degree of integrity
  • Quick learner, adaptable to new industries, business models, and shifting priorities
  • Strong understanding of KPIs and their role in strategic decision-making
  • Experience in building forecasts and driving thoughtful valuation analyses supported by relevant market data
  • Clear and effective communicator with the ability to create impactful, executive-ready presentations and recommendations
  • Highly organized, team-oriented collaborator with experience managing multiple complex projects and working with external partners (i.e. investment bankers, legal teams, consultants)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across levels of the organization

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with alternative funds, including familiarity with fund structures, operations, and valuation methodologies, is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth strategic research, synthesize findings, and present actionable recommendations on new business opportunities to senior leadership.
  • Lead rigorous, data-driven analysis (both quantitative and qualitative) to inform and shape Corporate Development and Strategy recommendations.
  • Incorporate approved AI and automation tools into day‑to-day workflows to improve the speed, quality, and scalability of strategic analysis, diligence, and execution.
  • Source and evaluate strategic opportunities proactively, including partnerships, minority investments, and selective acquisitions aligned with the company’s long-term goals.
  • Lead key aspects of the due diligence process for select strategic transactions, managing multiple workstreams to ensure thorough analysis and informed decision-making.
  • Work closely with external counterparties and internal stakeholders to advance strategic opportunities from initial evaluation through transaction or partnership execution.
  • Foster a center of excellence for external market research, competitive intelligence, industry trends, and potential partnership or acquisition opportunities across the organization.
  • Curate and distribute relevant industry insights, enabling teams across the organization to make data-driven decisions.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations, business plans, financial analyses, and industry reports, clearly communicating complex findings both verbally and in writing.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop and drive execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment and measurable outcomes.
  • Lead special projects for senior leadership in support of iCapital’s broader strategic objectives.

Benefits

  • The base salary range for this role is $165,000 to $220,000.
