About The Position

North Point Technology is seeking a DevOps Engineer to provide comprehensive DevOps support for a Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)/SE Linux based enterprise environment. This role involves initial deployment, site support, and automation. The ideal candidate is a skilled problem-solver who excels in an agile, standards-driven setting and collaborates effectively with site teams, users, and government stakeholders to ensure reliable and repeatable deployments. The position offers the opportunity to work on long-term projects utilizing the latest technology to develop innovative solutions for critical national missions.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance required.
  • Must be eligible for CI Polygraph.
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)/SE Linux administration and configuration management.
  • Deployment and automation using Red Hat Satellite and Ansible.
  • Troubleshooting automation and deployment issues alongside site administrators.
  • Installing and supporting software libraries within a RHEL/SE Linux environment.
  • Integrating third-party vendor tools and manual steps into an automated deployment process.
  • Developing and executing test plans, including filesystem upgrades.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full-spectrum DevOps support across the deployment lifecycle of a RHEL/SE Linux based enterprise product.
  • Deploy and maintain RHEL/SE Linux configurations using Red Hat Satellite and Ansible automation.
  • Work with site administrators to troubleshoot automation and deployment issues.
  • Install software libraries that function within the RHEL/SE Linux environment.
  • Monitor and modify the enterprise environment in an agile, highly flexible setting.
  • Engage third-party vendors to translate and integrate manual steps into the automated deployment process.
  • Create or modify existing DevOps automation to correct errors and improve deployment capabilities.
  • Develop and execute test plans for filesystem upgrades.
  • Resolve issues with vendor support.
  • Provide support to staff and end users.
  • Apply DevOps best practices to deliver quality projects on schedule.
