About The Position

Our government client is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer (IT Production Support) to support, maintain, and optimize enterprise application environments. The role involves Oracle WebLogic administration, DevOps, CI/CD, Kubernetes, cloud services, application deployments, performance tuning, and production support.

Requirements

  • 6–8+ years of Oracle WebLogic administration in enterprise Unix/Linux environments.
  • Experience with Oracle WebLogic Server
  • Experience with Oracle HTTP Server (OHS)
  • Experience with Oracle Solaris/Linux and Windows Server
  • Experience with Kubernetes (AKS, ARO)
  • Experience with Cloud Services
  • Experience with DevOps & CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong knowledge of Java/J2EE (Servlets, JSP, EJB)
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle RDBMS
  • Strong knowledge of Unix Shell Scripting and Python
  • Strong knowledge of SSL/HTTPS
  • Strong knowledge of IBM MQ
  • Experience with application deployments, change management, and version control.
  • Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production support experience.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, administer, patch, and support Oracle WebLogic, Oracle HTTP Server, and enterprise middleware environments.
  • Deploy and troubleshoot JAR, WAR, and EAR files in standalone and clustered environments.
  • Monitor JVM, thread pools, connection pools, CPU, memory, and application performance.
  • Analyze logs, thread dumps, JVM dumps, and troubleshoot production issues.
  • Configure SSL/HTTPS certificates and maintain secure environments.
  • Develop and support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation.
  • Support Kubernetes (AKS, ARO) and cloud environments.
  • Perform disaster recovery testing and maintain documentation.
  • Collaborate with developers, DBAs, infrastructure, and networking teams.
  • Support enterprise applications including Tableau, OpenText, HP Quality Center, Xerox DocuShare, and other COTS applications.
  • Monitor batch jobs, system alerts, and provide production support.
  • Maintain infrastructure documentation and application inventories.
