About the position
The DevOps Engineer at Vectra plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of both the customers and the engineering team. They are responsible for working on products that detect system issues in various environments, such as data centers, the cloud, and customer sites. The ideal candidate should have a strong belief in DevOps and Agile principles and be part of a collaborative team. The main responsibilities include designing and implementing pipelines and tools for continuous integration and delivery, enabling other teams to follow DevOps best practices, and ensuring fast and reliable production deployments. The qualifications include a relevant Bachelor's degree, hands-on DevOps experience, a passion for automation, familiarity with cloud deployments and security best practices, CI/CD pipeline experience, configuration as code experience, knowledge of Python, and proficiency in Linux systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement pipelines and tools for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment
- Define and implement tools to promote DevOps best practices within the organization
- Develop and deliver platform services used by internal stakeholders
- Ensure fast, reliable, and secure production deployments
- Collaborate with geographically distributed development teams to improve quality and deployment time
- Automate various processes and tasks
- Possess a relevant Bachelor's degree and hands-on experience in DevOps/SRE
- Have a passion for automation
- Familiarity with cloud deployments, networking, and security best practices
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Gitlab, Jenkins)
- Proficiency in configuration as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
- Knowledge of the Python programming language
- Experience in managing production environments
- Proficiency in Linux systems
- Strong container/serverless experience is a plus
