About the position
We are seeking an experienced DevOps engineer to join our team at Segmed. As a key member of our team, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the security and stability of our infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in designing and building an infrastructure that can support our needs, with a focus on data security. This role offers opportunities to learn and grow, including creating secure connections with hospital systems, building distributed infrastructure, and prioritizing privacy. Responsibilities
- Designing and creating secure Infrastructure-as-code to support Segmed's needs
- Writing Terraform configurations and Ansible playbooks to setup systems
- Establishing policies for log capture and analysis from all production systems
- Ensuring all systems are instrumented, monitored, and audited
- Helping meet needs for HIPAA and ISO-compliance
- Performing other ad hoc responsibilities to support the company's objectives
- Having 2+ years of experience with Terraform and Ansible
- Having 2+ years of experience with AWS
- Having 2+ years of experience with software engineering and automation of production workflows
- Having 1+ years of experience in at least 1 programming language (Go/Python preferred)
- Having knowledge of healthcare ecosystems and medical and research partnerships
- Having superior attention to detail and excellent communication skills, both interpersonal and written
- Being well organized and able to work in a fast-paced startup environment
Requirements
