Appalachian Community Services provides Mental Health, Behavioral Health, Substance Use, and Developmental Disability services to individuals, families, and communities within the seven western counties of North Carolina. We provide a wide range of walk-in, psychiatric, substance abuse, and crisis services to adults and children. We are seeking a Developmental Disability (DD) Supervisor - Community Based to provide supervision of IDD Community Direct Support Professionals, including supervision meetings with supervisees, reviewing billing documentation, compliance and training documentation, and ensuring quality client care. This also includes maintaining schedules and timesheet approval. The IDD Community Manager may carry a caseload and shall coordinate and monitor services on behalf of the recipient. Deliver services in various environments, such as homes, schools, jails (for state funds only), homeless shelters, etc. Provide linkage of consumer/family to services/resources, develops and maintains the consumer’s Person Centered Plan, which includes initial development and updates every 90 days. Arrange and facilitate Person Centered Plan meetings and provide a minimum of two (2) contacts per month with one (1) contact occurring face-to-face with the recipient. Facilitate consumer’s access to services through the authorization process by completing all needed paperwork associated with this process.
