About The Position

Akina is seeking a Development Operations Engineer with experience in Kubernetes, Docker, and Linux. This role involves performing network services from design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrade of LAN/CAN/WAN networks. The engineer will be responsible for the administration of Arista and Cisco devices, and configuring and optimizing networks to connect front-end and back-end components. A strong background in Linux (RHEL/CentOS) administration and troubleshooting, along with proficiency in Python and Bash scripting, is required. The position also requires experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or GitLab, using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible or Terraform, and hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes. The engineer will manage and configure Kubernetes clusters for high availability, scalability, and security, and have experience with the management and monitoring of hybrid cloud/virtualized environments. Clearance: TS/SCI - Polygraph required.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years' experience with software and system deployments, Linux system admin, containerization, cloud deployments, DevSecOps.
  • Recent experience within the last three (3) years in Kubernetes.
  • Recent experience within the last three (3) years in cluster orchestration.
  • Recent experience within the last three (3) years containerization.
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Active IAT II CWIP / DoD 8570 compliant cert (i.e., Security+).

Nice To Haves

  • May substitute four years' experience in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.
  • May substitute two years' experience with MS in Engineering or CS.
