About The Position

The University of Alabama is seeking applications for a position in Advancement, considering candidates for both Associate Director and Director of Development roles. This position, reporting to the Office of Development and the Honors College Dean, will focus on developing major-gift prospect portfolios, cultivating, and soliciting these prospects for current, pledged, and planned gifts for the Honors College.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of development, fundraising, sales, communications and/or public relations experience; OR master's degree and some development, fundraising, sales, communications and/or public relations experience (for Associate Director).
Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of development, fundraising, sales, communications and/or public relations experience; OR master's degree and two (2) years of development, fundraising, sales, communications and/or public relations experience (for Director).
Ability to travel frequently.
Must have valid U.S. driver's license.
Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies.
Good public relations, oral and written communications, excellent organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal skills required.
Ability to use personal computer for word processing and standard software packages.
Must successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation.
