Developer Programs Lead

Render
•$236,000 - $289,000

About The Position

Render is seeking its first Developer Programs Lead to drive developer-led growth among a user base of more than 7 million developers. The role owns strategy and execution across Render’s social presence, developer community, developer programs, and developer voice. The lead will decide what to build first, what to delegate to agencies or contractors, and when to hire, then build and manage the team. The position initially involves hands-on management of Render’s X, LinkedIn, and Reddit accounts, including writing posts, engaging developers, setting channel strategy, and handling sensitive public moments such as outages, pricing changes, and criticism. The lead will grow Render’s presence in developer communities, organize AMAs, livestreams, and events with Developer Experience, and bring developer feedback to Product and Engineering. They will also create programs involving creators, ambassadors, referrals, speaking, and employee advocacy; define documented guidance for Render’s developer-facing voice; and work with Marketing, Product Marketing, Product, and Engineering on the company’s public narrative and launches. The role reports to Raph Terrier, Head of Developer Experience. The Developer Experience team owns content such as tutorials, videos, documentation, and articles; this role’s team owns how Render sounds, how content reaches developers, and the programs and community around it. The lead will report on results to Developer Experience and Marketing leadership and adjust the strategy as needed.
