About The Position

As a Detention Facility Security Officer - Perimeter Access in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide professional customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to routine site needs with integrity as part of a collaborative team. The position is full-time and pays $17.95 per hour. The listed schedule is Thursday, Friday, and Sunday from 5:45 AM to 6:00 PM. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
