Security Officer - Perimeter Access

About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for perimeter access at a logistics and distribution location in Duncan, South Carolina. The officer will safeguard clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by monitoring access points and assigned areas, conducting patrols, and responding to incidents. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, accurate reporting, and adherence to site-specific procedures. The position pays $17.00 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while following site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
Monitor access points, verify credentials, document visitor and contractor entry, and assist with directing delivery traffic in accordance with site policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or security concerns.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Complete daily activity reports, incident documentation, and other required records accurately and on time.
