Detention Facility Security Officer - Full Time
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Detention Facility Security Officer in Columbia, South Carolina. In this unarmed patrol role, the officer serves and safeguards clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and supporting access control activities. The role includes providing customer service to visitors and staff, communicating clearly, and responding professionally to security concerns. The officer follows security-related procedures and site-specific policies, participates in emergency response activities when appropriate, responds calmly to incidents and critical situations, and conducts regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site. The listed pay rate is $17.95 per hour. The schedule lists shifts on Monday, Tuesday, and Sunday from 5:45 PM to 6:00 AM.
Requirements
- At least two years of security-related experience.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations.
