About The Position

Teph Seal Auto Appearance is hiring detailers for its flat-rate detail shop at an auto dealership in Aurora, Colorado. The role involves driving, detailing, and cleaning vehicles while maintaining the facility and providing high-quality service. Detailers are expected to respond courteously and promptly to customer inquiries and complaints, work with urgency, and help ensure customer satisfaction. The posting identifies openings for Detail Specialist 1, requiring some experience, and Detail Specialist 2, requiring more than two years of experience. The work includes washing vehicle exteriors; waxing and buffing; vacuuming and cleaning interiors, upholstery, and surfaces; drying surfaces with air compressors and cloths; and applying protective chemicals. The detailer may also use dyes, paints, and waxes to protect leather or fabric, and clean grease from engines or engine compartments. Additional duties may be assigned by management to meet operational needs. This is physically demanding work involving frequent bending, lifting, reaching, squatting, and getting in and out of vehicles. Work may be outdoors in varying weather, and involves moving numerous vehicles during the day. The role requires careful inspection of work for small imperfections, including streaks, smudges, or missed vacuuming, as well as adherence to uniform and grooming standards. Compensation is flat rate. Employment is contingent on successful drug and background screening.

Requirements

Valid driver's license and good driving record.
Ability to drive both automatic and manual-shift vehicles.
Ability to learn quickly and work as part of a team.

Desire to treat each customer's personal vehicle with care and respect.
Ability to arrive on time and stay on task during the shift.
Availability to work Saturday or Sunday and holidays as needed to meet production needs.
Detail Specialist 1: some experience.
Detail Specialist 2: more than two years of experience.
Successful completion of drug and background screening as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

Maintain store facilities to support high-quality service.
Drive, detail, and clean vehicles.
Wash vehicle exteriors using cleaning solutions; wax and buff vehicles as needed.
Vacuum vehicle interiors and clean upholstery and other surfaces.
Dry surfaces with air compressors and cloths, and apply protective chemicals to prevent spots and stains.
Use dyes, paints, and waxes to protect vehicle leather or fabric when required.
Clean grease from engines or engine compartments when required.
Inspect personal work and the work of other team members for quality and small imperfections.
Respond to customer inquiries and complaints courteously and promptly, helping establish conclusions in a timely manner.
Work with urgency and carry out additional duties assigned by management to meet operational needs.
Follow uniform and grooming standards and treat customers’ vehicles with care and respect.
