About The Position

Teph Seal Auto Appearance is hiring for flat-rate detail shop positions at auto dealerships. The role maintains store facilities and provides high-quality vehicle detailing and customer service, including responding to customer inquiries and complaints in a timely manner. The posting identifies Detail Specialist 1 for candidates with some experience and Detail Specialist 2 for candidates with two or more years of experience. Detailers wash, wax, buff, vacuum, and clean vehicle exteriors and interiors; dry surfaces and apply protective chemicals; and may use dyes, paints, and waxes to protect leather or fabric. The work may also include cleaning grease from engines or engine compartments, driving and moving vehicles, and performing other duties assigned by management. The position involves frequent bending, lifting, reaching, squatting, and repeatedly entering and exiting vehicles. Work may take place outdoors in varying weather conditions and requires attention to detail, safe product use, and adherence to uniform and grooming standards. The position is compensated at a flat rate. Requirements

Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
Ability to learn quickly and work as part of a team.

Reliability, including arriving on time and staying on task during the shift.
Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
Availability to work Saturday or Sunday and holidays when needed to meet production needs.
For Detail Specialist 1: some experience.
For Detail Specialist 2: two or more years of experience.
Successful completion of drug and background screening as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

Maintain store facilities to support high-quality service.
Provide courteous customer service and respond to customer inquiries or complaints promptly.
Wash vehicle exteriors using cleaning solutions; wax and buff vehicles when needed.
Vacuum vehicle interiors and clean upholstery and other surfaces.
Dry surfaces and apply preservation chemicals to protect against spots and stains.
Use dyes, paints, and waxes to protect vehicle leather or fabric when required.
Clean grease from engines or engine compartments when required.
Drive and move vehicles during the workday.
Perform additional duties assigned by management to meet operational needs.
Inspect own work and the work of other team members for quality and small imperfections.
Work with urgency and adhere to uniform and grooming standards.
