About The Position

This course introduces students to some of the basic techniques of Graphic Design, using Adobe software and addressing composition, layout, file handling, visual impact, the integration of fonts and text, and legibility within a visual arts context. It includes some of the issues of analytical drawing including an analysis of shapes, spaces, relationships between objects or parts of the composition, light and shadows, texture, key details and the whole.

Requirements

Master of Fine Arts or equivalent.
Established reputation and exhibition record in painting, in drawing and in contemporary art.
Teaching experience at post-secondary level.
Competence in second language (English/French).

Responsibilities

Teach basic techniques of Graphic Design using Adobe software.
Address composition, layout, file handling, visual impact, font and text integration, and legibility within a visual arts context.
Cover issues of analytical drawing, including analysis of shapes, spaces, relationships between objects, light and shadows, texture, key details, and the whole.
Ensure all prior experience and relevant credentials are reflected in the CV.
Provide a visual record of recent works.
