About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Technician to join a growing IT support team in Knoxville. This team provides technical support for thousands of endpoints across hundreds of locations nationwide and serves as the highest level of support for end-user technology issues. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with desktop and laptop deployments, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, asset management, and supporting Windows-based environments. This role requires a customer-focused professional who can work collaboratively with teammates to resolve complex technical challenges while delivering exceptional support to end users.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting enterprise desktop environments.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, and Office Suite.
  • Experience deploying and imaging workstations and laptops.
  • Knowledge of hardware troubleshooting and break/fix support.
  • Ability to troubleshoot across multiple technologies and independently resolve issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working within a ticketing system environment.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, image, deploy, and support desktop and laptop computers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and peripheral issues.
  • Provide advanced support for Microsoft Windows environments and business applications.
  • Support and manage Active Directory user accounts, permissions, and access requests.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot printers and other endpoint devices.
  • Respond to incident tickets and service requests within established SLA requirements.
  • Perform hardware replacements, upgrades, and lifecycle management activities.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and asset management records.
  • Collaborate with team members to investigate and resolve escalated technical issues.
  • Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and support procedures.
  • Deliver excellent customer service while supporting end users both remotely and onsite.
