About The Position

We are hiring a Desktop System Engineer for our Enterprise Client and Server team. This will be a fixed term FTE roles with an expected end date of December 2026. As a direct hire, you will be eligible for Corewell Health benefits (medical, dental vision, retirement, PTO accrual, etc.) Job Summary Under minimal supervision, responsible for the research, design, implementation, integration, and support of Apple device management technologies within the enterprise environment. This role focuses on the administration and optimization of Apple device management platforms including Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions such as Jamf Pro and Microsoft Intune. Designs, implements, and maintains scalable, secure, and highly available Apple device management solutions to support organizational requirements. Responsible for macOS and iOS lifecycle management including device enrollment, configuration management, application deployment, operating system management, and endpoint security compliance. Performs work related to new Apple platform deployments, MDM infrastructure upgrades, automation development, and device lifecycle management. Contributes to system documentation and operational procedures. Demonstrates competency in Apple device ecosystem technologies while collaborating with cross-functional IT teams. Essential Functions Apple Device Management Engineering Design, implement, and maintain enterprise Apple device management solutions using MDM platforms such as Jamf Pro and Microsoft Intune. Engineer scalable solutions for macOS, iOS, and iPadOS device enrollment, configuration, security compliance, and lifecycle management. Develop and maintain device configuration profiles, compliance policies, and security baselines aligned with organizational standards. Application Packaging and Deployment Build, test, and deploy macOS application packages using packaging tools and deployment frameworks. Manage macOS application deployment pipelines, updates, and patch management through MDM platforms. Configure and deploy iOS/iPadOS applications via Apple Business Manager and MDM solutions including managed app configuration and licensing. Automation and Scripting Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, or other scripting languages to automate device management tasks. Create scripts and workflows to support device provisioning, remediation, configuration enforcement, and software deployment.

Requirements

Associate's Degree or equivalent
2 years of experience typically gained through skills/knowledge/abilities
Experience in systems engineering (designing, implementing, and supporting system and infrastructure services), with exposure to the complete systems development lifecycle (requirements gathering, design, development, testing, implementation, support and service level measurement)
Strong knowledge in scripting with PowerShell and supporting large Windows infrastructure environments
Good understanding of various scripting tools like Python and JavaScript/ECMA Scripts
Ability to interface with applications like Service Now and other IT applications
Able to work an on-call rotation about once every 11 weeks

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree
Experience developing PowerShell for Office 365 product suite
Experience with Bash Scripting in MacOS environments
Experience working with API and Webhooks
Experience working with Intune/JAMF or any mobile device management tool
