About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Desktop Engineering Lead Systems Engineer to join our team at Burlington in North Carolina. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hours. This role serves as the Lead Systems Engineer for Microsoft Intune and SCCM / Configuration Manager in a global enterprise environment. The engineer will architect, design, and engineer advanced Windows imaging and provisioning platforms (Autopilot, task sequences, global “gold image” standards). They will act as an Enterprise SME for Intune configuration, compliance policies, endpoint governance, and device management frameworks. The role involves defining, documenting, and enforcing enterprise endpoint engineering standards for provisioning, patching, compliance, application deployment, and device lifecycle. The engineer will also design enterprise OU structures, identity security groups, and delegated administration architectures, and partner with Azure AD / Entra ID engineering teams on modern identity and global device integration. Additionally, this position acts as a Level 3/4 engineering escalation point for high-severity endpoint, OS, policy, and identity issues, and assists with the development and maintenance of enterprise-grade documentation, architectural standards, and engineering runbooks. The role serves as a Technical Lead and Enterprise Architect for EUC modernization and global transformation initiatives, evaluating emerging technologies and recommending improvements to global EUC platforms and enterprise endpoint roadmaps.

Requirements

  • 7 or more years experience in End User Computing, Endpoint Management, or Desktop Engineering within global enterprise environments.
  • 3 or more years experience operating as a Lead Engineer, Enterprise Architect, or Subject Matter Expert (SME).

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Intune, SSCM / Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Windows imaging and autopilot, active directory & group policy, compliance and configurations policy engineering, company poral administration and BitLocker & AppLocker architecture.
  • Expert-level understanding of Windows 10/11 engineering in enterprise environments
  • Previous experience with hybrid identity and modern device management architectures
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills across OS, identity, policy, security, and application layers.
