About The Position

RIVO is seeking a personable, technically curious Desktop Support Engineer who enjoys helping people as much as they enjoy solving technology challenges. We're looking for someone who takes pride in delivering a great support experience, building relationships, and becoming the person employees know and trust when they need help. In a company between 250-300 employees, you'll have the opportunity to make a visible impact every day as one of the primary faces of IT. While much of the role is hands-on desktop support, workstation deployment, and user administration, you'll also have opportunities to expand your technical expertise through endpoint management, Microsoft Intune administration, automation initiatives, and technology improvement projects. You'll work alongside experienced IT professionals who are invested in mentoring and developing your skills. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting enterprise desktop environments, endpoint management platforms, and workplace technology systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows operating systems, workstation hardware, and enterprise desktop technologies.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), and related administration tools.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment when evaluating technical issues, recommending solutions, and prioritizing competing business needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities while effectively managing multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified, CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or comparable certifications are strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of scripting and automation technologies, including PowerShell or similar tools preferred.
  • Working Knowledge of endpoint management solutions, device lifecycle administration, and workplace technology best practices preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, operating systems, and end-user technology issues.
  • Configure, deploy, maintain, and upgrade desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, and workplace technology equipment.
  • Support employee onboarding activities, including workstation setup, device provisioning, software installation, and technology readiness for new hires.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex desktop support matters, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.
  • Administer and maintain endpoint management platforms, including Microsoft Intune and related device management technologies.
  • Perform user provisioning, onboarding, offboarding, and access administration activities in accordance with established security standards.
  • Manage device lifecycle administration activities, including deployment, replacement, asset tracking, compliance monitoring, and retirement of end-user technology equipment.
  • Participate in technology projects related to endpoint management, system upgrades, workplace technology enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Create and maintain basic scripting and automation solutions that improve operational efficiency and reduce manual administrative tasks.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and knowledgebase resources to improve service delivery and operational consistency.
  • Provide technical recommendations regarding end-user computing technologies, device management practices, and support processes.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
