Job Title: Desktop Support Engineer Location(s): New York, NY Job Summary Seeking an experienced A/V Technician to provide high-quality audio-visual support for corporate events, executive meetings, conference rooms, Zoom environments, and enterprise collaboration technologies. The role focuses heavily on live event support, conference room operations, troubleshooting, and customer-facing executive support in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of Audio/Visual support experience in a corporate environment.
  • Strong live event and meeting support experience.
  • Hands-on expertise with Zoom, Teams, DSPs, and audio/video control systems.
  • Experience operating professional A/V hardware including mixers, switchers, and PTZ cameras.
  • Strong understanding of A/V signal flow, acoustics, and IP networking fundamentals.
  • Experience supporting executive-level stakeholders and customer-facing environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with broadcast technologies, encoders, NDI/SRT workflows, or production environments.
  • Basic Windows and macOS troubleshooting experience related to conferencing and collaboration technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Support live in-person and broadcast events using professional A/V presentation equipment.
  • Operate and troubleshoot video switchers, audio mixers, PTZ cameras, DSPs, microphones, displays, and conferencing systems.
  • Provide white-glove support for executive and C-Suite meetings.
  • Support enterprise event A/V technologies including QSC, Yamaha, Vizrt, Ross, Barco, Blackmagic, Cisco, and Logitech solutions.
  • Maintain conference rooms, Zoom Rooms, studios, and collaboration technologies.
  • Perform room readiness checks, certification testing, and functionality validation.
  • Ensure firmware and software updates are maintained across conference room systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve A/V incidents related to conferencing platforms, audio/video systems, and collaboration tools.
  • Manage and document tickets through ServiceNow or Jira with proper resolution notes and SLA adherence.
  • Escalate critical incidents when required and maintain strong operational service delivery.
