About The Position

The Desktop Engineer I provides essential technical support for employee workstations and hardware. You will handle day-to-day hardware setups, troubleshooting, and office moves to ensure all staff have the tools they need to work effectively.

Requirements

  • Previous experience troubleshooting and supporting both Windows and Mac operating systems.
  • Ability to address hardware failures and connectivity issues in a timely manner.
  • Consistency in meeting deadlines and service level agreements (SLAs) for staff requests.
  • A willingness to learn new technical processes and inventory tools as the environment evolves.
  • This role involves full-time presence at our New York office, requiring a five-day onsite commitment each week.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Level I support for hardware issues, including repairs and replacements for peripherals and accessories.
  • Set up and image computers for new hires and coordinate workstation relocations during department moves.
  • Assist the help desk by visiting deskside to resolve technical problems that cannot be fixed remotely.
  • Maintain accurate records in the hardware asset tracking system and keep procedural documentation up to date.
  • Help the team with hardware refreshes and other physical technology upgrades.
