About The Position

We are looking for a talented Designer - Level II to join our Engineering team for our CDBS (Cummins Drivetrain and Braking Systems) facility located at Troy, MI.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality CAD models aligned with Cummins standards to support system-level analyses such as Dimensional Variation Analysis and Finite Element Analysis.
• Apply deep mechanical understanding to design innovative, reliable solutions that perform across diverse customer environments and lifecycle stages.
• Produce complete solid models, engineering BOMs, and detailed drawings that clearly communicate manufacturing and inspection requirements.
• Establish and maintain configuration baselines, manage change requests, and ensure product integrity from concept through obsolescence.
• Tailor technical and non-technical communication to diverse audiences, ensuring alignment and shared understanding across teams.
• Make timely, well-reasoned decisions that keep projects progressing and support organizational priorities.
• Consistently deliver strong outcomes, even in challenging or fast-moving situations, while upholding Cummins’ standards of excellence.
• Foster credibility through integrity, value different viewpoints, and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive engineering culture.
