About The Position

Texas Instruments is seeking a Design Verification Engineer to confirm the accuracy of designs for analog and mixed-signal electronic parts, components, integrated circuitry, equipment, and hardware systems before pattern generation and mask development. The engineer works independently from the product development team that designed the devices to verify compliance with established design rules, procedures, and best practices. The role includes analyzing equipment to establish operating data, conducting experimental tests, and evaluating results to confirm devices meet specification requirements. It may also involve running software simulations, selecting components and equipment based on specification and reliability analyses, and reviewing vendor capabilities in support of product development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience in the design of equipment, components, or circuitry.
  • At least 8 years of experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work directly with customers.
  • Ability to ramp quickly on new systems and processes.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with people in different functions.
  • Initiative and drive for results.
  • Strong time-management skills to enable on-time project delivery.
  • Ability to establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with UVM, Verilog, SystemVerilog, and Python.
  • Experience developing verification strategies and scalable UVM-based testbenches.
  • Experience driving functional and code coverage to closure.
  • Experience participating in code and testbench reviews, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to methodology improvements.
  • Strong background with EDA design tools and a UNIX design environment.
  • Understanding of analog circuits and systems, particularly power systems.
  • Experience with formal verification methods and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Independently verify analog and mixed-signal designs against established design rules, procedures, and best practices before pattern generation or mask development.
  • Analyze equipment to establish operating data.
  • Conduct experimental tests and evaluate results to confirm devices meet specification requirements.
  • Run software simulations and select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.
  • Review vendor capabilities to support product development.
  • Develop verification strategies and scalable UVM-based testbenches.
  • Drive functional and code coverage to closure.
  • Participate in code and testbench reviews, mentor junior team members, and contribute to methodology improvements.
