About The Position

The Design Technologist is a key member of SanMar’s Apparel, Bags and Accessories Design team, working at the intersection of design, technology, and innovation. The role helps the design team make effective use of Adobe Creative Cloud, explores ways AI can support fashion design workflows, and develops systems and templates that improve how the team works. The position builds and maintains Adobe Illustrator and InDesign templates, automations, and reusable assets; trains and supports designers, assistant designers, and merchandisers; and experiments with AI tools to transform technical sketches into 3D or photorealistic renders. It also tracks emerging creative technologies, contributes to prompt libraries and AI workflow documentation, and partners with Design Operations, fashion design, and merchandising teams on standards, workflows, and practical tools. The role supports the Design Studio roadmap by piloting new technologies and may perform other duties as assigned. The employee must comply with company policies and standards. This is a hybrid role based at SanMar’s Eastpointe office in Issaquah, Washington. Employees work in the office Tuesday through Thursday each week, with additional office days possible based on business needs.
