Emo Nite - Design Intern
About The Position
Emo Nite is seeking a highly motivated, proactive Design Intern to join its design team in Calabasas, California. The role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced setting and is not remote. The intern will support the design team with tour materials, print preparation, and organizing creative assets, and may assist at Emo Nite events as needed. Candidates should have strong technical skills in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator. Familiarity with the music industry, Emo Nite’s brand, and current design trends is preferred; experience with Adobe After Effects and Premiere is a plus. The role may require travel and work during holidays, evenings, and weekends to meet deadlines.
Requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across departments and functions.
- Strong time-management skills.
- Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
- Strong technical skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Willingness to travel and work holidays, evenings, and weekends as required to meet deadlines.
- U.S. employment authorization that does not require visa sponsorship by Emo Nite.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of and interest in the music industry, emo music, and Emo Nite’s brand.
- Experience with Adobe After Effects and Premiere.
- Knowledge of current design trends, fonts, color palettes, and layouts.
- Eagerness to learn about and experiment with new technologies and techniques.
Responsibilities
- Templatize tour materials, including refreshing dates, guest artists, and announcements.
- Resize existing materials for specific markets and needs.
- Prepare materials for print.
- Organize still and video files for distribution to clients, partners, and representatives.
- Source stock footage, images, and fonts from media libraries as needed.
- Assist onsite at Emo Nite events when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
