Design Engineer I

About The Position

The Design Engineer I will be responsible for providing engineered drawings for HVAC control systems. This role involves reviewing project specifications and contract drawings, creating accurate drawings and schematics using Visio, and sizing control components such as valves, dampers, and air flow stations. The engineer will also be responsible for writing and understanding sequences of operations for HVAC control systems, and assembling submittals and O&Ms for projects.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering Technology/Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering or other STEM field with 1-3 years' experience in relevant field.
  • 2+ years' experience in controls design engineering OR 5+ years as a controls technician.
  • Sound knowledge of electrical circuits, HVAC and controls required.
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite required.
  • Must be able to deal with a large volume of work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering Technology/Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering or other STEM field with 1-3 years' experience in relevant field.

Responsibilities
