Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering or another related field.
Curious, creative, and tenacious problem solver.
Strong verbal and written communications skills required; must be able to communicate effectively with internal departments, vendors, and customers.
Ability to work independently, and to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
CAD proficiency – PTC Creo, Solidworks, etc.
Knowledge and grasp of rapid prototyping techniques and manufacturing methods.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Demonstrated history of design innovation.
Energetic and enthusiastic approach toward the definition of new products, complimented by an educated and realistic business outlook.
Competent in the design and development of plastic components.

Nice To Haves

This role may require up to 5% of travel, domestically.
Candidates should be comfortable with occasional travel as needed to support business objectives.

Responsibilities

Develop products from conceptualization to launch.
Collaborates and consults with Test, Tooling, Manufacturing and Quality Engineers in support of new product development.
Interacts with Product Management as needed to assess new technology needs.
Leads or assists in efforts to resolve product performance issues.
Adheres to all safety regulations.
Demonstrates support of CPC core values.
Performs other job duties as assigned to meet business needs.
