About The Position

Kitchen Tune-Up of Grand Rapids is seeking a people-focused Design Assistant & Showroom Coordinator to welcome customers into its kitchen and bath remodeling showroom and support them throughout their projects. The role combines customer communication, project scheduling and follow-up, assistance with design selections, and showroom upkeep. The coordinator serves as a personal point of contact from a customer's first visit through installation, helping customers choose cabinet finishes, countertops, tile, hardware, and other selections while keeping project records accurate. The company will provide training, including on its software and systems. The role is intended to support professional growth, with opportunities to develop deeper design skills, move toward sales, or take on business-side responsibilities. The position offers regular weekday business hours; nights and weekends are rare. Compensation is $20.00–$25.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

Welcome showroom visitors, answer questions, and help them explore displays and samples.
Serve as each customer's communication touchpoint through check-in calls, emails, and texts.
Coordinate scheduling and follow-ups to keep project details moving.
Support selection appointments, help customers finalize design selections, and document their choices.
Maintain accurate selection records and keep the showroom tidy with current samples.
