Design Advocate - Architect

Pirros•Los Angeles, CA

About The Position

Pirros is hiring a senior, highly cross-functional Design Advocate with architecture experience and a deep understanding of how AEC firms operate, including project delivery, coordination, content standards, and BIM workflows. The role serves as Pirros’ in-house practitioner voice and a strategic bridge between Product and go-to-market (GTM) teams, reporting directly to the CEO. It is a senior individual contributor position, not a traditional Product or Marketing role. The Design Advocate partners with Product on discovery and roadmap discussions, bringing customer and field insights into product decisions and maintaining visibility into upcoming launches. The role prepares Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success for product releases by translating updates into enablement materials, validating positioning, and coordinating launch-readiness checks. It also supports strategic sales conversations and complex demos, helps Customer Success field advanced workflow questions, and represents Pirros externally through industry events and educational programming. The position aims to strengthen alignment among Product, GTM, and customer-facing teams so product changes are understood and translated into customer value.

Requirements

  • Experience practicing architecture at a respected firm and understanding project delivery under real deadlines.
  • Deep familiarity with Revit workflows, content standards, BIM coordination, and detail-management challenges.
  • Strong understanding of architecture firms’ operational and commercial practices, including project delivery, profitability, staffing, scheduling, and interdisciplinary coordination.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build demos, lead webinars, write battlecards, and present to executives.
  • Proactive communication style and willingness to share context without waiting to be asked.
  • Strong collaboration skills across Product, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success while respecting ownership boundaries.
  • Comfort working in ambiguity and helping build cross-functional processes while serving as a bridge between teams.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior engineers, project managers, architects, executives, and enterprise customers.

Nice To Haves

  • AIA license.
  • Experience managing BIM standards, content standards, or detail libraries at a mid-to-large architecture firm.
  • Industry presence through speaking engagements, Autodesk University or AIA participation, podcasts, or thought leadership.
  • Prior experience working closely with a software company as an advisor, beta customer, customer council member, or in-house employee.
  • Experience with sales enablement tools, CRM systems, demo environments, or analytics tools.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in product discovery and roadmap conversations as Pirros’ AEC practitioner; assess ideas against real-world workflows, identify adoption risks, and advocate for customer needs.
  • Maintain early visibility into upcoming launches and roadmap changes before broader GTM rollout.
  • Feed customer and field insights into Product discovery, including feedback about product resonance, user challenges, and competitive pressures.
  • Translate product updates and launches into actionable GTM enablement materials.
  • Own pre-launch readiness checkpoints to ensure major features have appropriate positioning, enablement, communication, and internal preparation.
  • Validate technical accuracy and strengthen the credibility of Marketing messaging as its practitioner counterpart.
  • Support Sales as a technical resource, including strategic customer conversations and complex demos.
  • Partner with Customer Success on advanced workflow and product questions and route valuable customer feedback to Product and Engineering.
  • Proactively equip GTM teams with relevant product context and workflow expertise before issues arise in active deals.
  • Represent Pirros externally at industry events, webinars, podcasts, AIA and Autodesk University participation, and customer roundtables.
  • Deliver AIA-accredited continuing education programs if licensure requirements are met.
  • Maintain and share Pirros’ perspective on the evolving AEC landscape.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation package including salary, equity, and full benefits.
