About The Position

Dermatology Consultants is a private dermatology practice founded in 1949, with 24 providers serving patients at four East Metro clinic locations. The Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works collaboratively with dermatologists to provide patient care. The role supports patient flow and physicians during examinations and procedures, documents visits in the EMR, and performs clinical and administrative duties, including cosmetic and surgical assistance, laser hair removal, photodynamic therapy, laboratory work, and phlebotomy. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, with no evenings or weekends. Starting pay is $22–$28.50 per hour.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Practical Nursing program.
• Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or LPN), or ability to obtain certification within six months.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask while providing warm, professional patient service.
• EMR experience and ability to document or scribe in a detailed manner.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with surgical and medical procedures, including excisions, skin biopsies, wart treatments, and cosmetic services.
• Room patients and remain with them throughout their visit to scribe for the physician in the EMR system.
• Perform clinical and administrative duties, including laser hair removal, photodynamic therapy, injections, phlebotomy, instrument cleaning, specimen handling, phone calls, scheduling, and patient education.
• Support patient flow and provide a warm, professional experience for patients.
