About The Position

The Medical Assistant or LPN collaborates with the provider as part of the patient care team at Dermatology Consultants, a private dermatology practice with 24 providers across four East Metro clinic locations. The role includes hands-on patient care and administrative duties, including supporting patient flow and providers, assisting with procedures, documenting visits in the electronic medical record, laboratory duties, and phlebotomy. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week on weekdays, at the Woodbury administrative office in Woodbury, Minnesota. The listed starting pay range is $22.00–$28.50 per hour.

Requirements

Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Practical Nursing program.
Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or LPN), or ability to obtain certification within six months.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to multitask and provide services to patients in a warm and professional manner.
EMR experience.

Responsibilities

Provide direct assistance to providers during surgical and medical procedures, including excisions, biopsies, wart treatment, and cosmetic services.
Room patients and stay with them throughout their visits to scribe for providers in the EMR system.
Perform clinical and administrative duties, including injections, phlebotomy, instrument cleaning, specimen handling, phone calls, scheduling, and patient education.
Assist with patient flow and support providers and procedures.
