Dermatologist
About The Position
A locum tenens Dermatologist is needed to provide outpatient clinical coverage in Fargo, North Dakota, beginning January 2027 and continuing ongoing. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with an option for Monday through Thursday. Coverage is needed due to extra patient volume, with an average of 30 patients per day. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered by the agency. The role includes comprehensive dermatological evaluations and diagnoses, treatment planning, patient education, and accurate recordkeeping in Epic. Required procedures include outpatient biopsies and excisions, as well as Mohs micrographic surgery. Preferred procedures include photopheresis, patch testing, electrodesiccation with curettage, cryosurgery, dermabrasion, and vein surgery. The facility has one RN, two MAs, and a variable number of office staff.
Requirements
- Board certified or board eligible.
- Active North Dakota license or willingness to obtain one.
- BLS certification.
- Complete the questionnaire and disclosure form.
- Perform required outpatient biopsies and excisions and Mohs micrographic surgery.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive dermatological evaluations and diagnoses.
- Perform skin biopsies, excisions, and other minor surgical procedures.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for various skin conditions.
- Provide patient education on skin care and preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate medical records using Epic EMR.
