LAX APM OMJV Deputy Manager
About The Position
Alstom is seeking a Deputy Manager to support the LAX Automated People Mover (APM) Operations and Maintenance Joint Venture (OMJV). The role supports operational excellence, safety, and reliability in a complex mobility system. It oversees daily operations and maintenance, aligns operational objectives with project milestones and client expectations, and applies reliability-centered maintenance strategies to improve system uptime and performance. The Deputy Manager also promotes the use of digital maintenance tools and predictive analytics for asset lifecycle management, while fostering continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across technical and operational teams. Success is measured by operational KPIs, delivery timelines, multidisciplinary collaboration and leadership, reduced system downtime, and improved maintenance efficiency.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field, or related work experience in one of those areas.
- Demonstrated experience with automated transit systems, maintenance, operations, or a comparable safety-critical transportation environment.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in transportation or industrial environments.
- Familiarity with Maintenance Management Information Systems (MMIS), such as Maximo.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary management, supervisory, technical, and frontline teams.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
