About The Position

This role is responsible for overseeing various logistics functions including receiving, storing, issuing, packaging, preservation, disposal, dispatch, vendor-aid transactions, and supplier rejections. The position also involves promoting a safety culture, managing inventory, controlling costs related to poor quality, planning vehicle dispatches, and coordinating with customer plants to meet their requirements. Effective manpower handling, including unionized staff, contract workers, and trainees, is crucial. Experience with ISO, TS, TPM, OHSAS, SHE, and ISO45001 is a must. The role also requires experience in green and returnable packaging, coordination with manufacturing and supporting functions to ensure smooth operations, driving continuous improvement, and managing revenue spend.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in SAP (MM, SD, PP)
  • Exposure to ISO, TS, TPM, OHSAS, SHE, ISO45001 is must
  • Diploma in Engineering; Graduate; Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical; Graduate in Science

Responsibilities

  • Storage function (Receiving, Storing, Issue, Packaging, Preservation, Disposal, Dispatch, vendor-aid transaction, supplier rejection)
  • Prompting Safety culture amongst entire team
  • Inventory analysis, Perpetual Inventory, Ageing analysis, capital assets management
  • Control on Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)- scrap, detention, premium freight, underload, 57f4 expiry etc.
  • UTN vehicle and Dispatch Planning
  • Coordinating with customer plants to meeting their requirements
  • Effective Manpower Handling (Unionized, contract, trainees)
  • Exposure to ISO, TS, TPM, OHSAS, SHE, ISO45001
  • Experienced in Green Packaging, returnable packaging
  • Coordinating with manufacturing and all supporting functions to carry out processes without interruptions to meet customer demands
  • Drive Continuous improvement amongst team
  • Revenue spend management and take measure for control
