About The Position

CACI is seeking a Deputy Program Manager to join our PEO Soldier SETA Team. The Deputy Program Manager is responsible for supporting the Program Manager overseeing the execution of a multi-functional SETA program spanning engineering, logistics, training, and business support across the full acquisition life cycle. The Deputy PM is responsible for enforcing work standards, supervising staff, and communicating policies, procedures, and goals to team members while interfacing with senior customers within Capability Program Executive (CPE) Ground. This position is full-time on-site at Fort Belvoir, VA.

Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance (must be current).
  • Bachelor's Degree and >15 years' experience
  • Demonstrated competency in: Communication (written and oral), Leadership, Team management, Negotiation, Personal organization, and Risk management
  • Proven track record managing mid-to-large-scale programs.
  • Experience leading a program team of 50+ personnel and managing geographically distributed teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to address complex issues and influence policy and decision-making across organizations.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP or PgMP certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
  • Experience managing programs valued at $100M+.
  • Prior experience with MTA and rapid acquisition pathways.
  • Knowledge of DoD 5000 series, AR 70-1, and Agile acquisition practices.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management of a diverse team of 300+ personnel, responsible for delivering integrated engineering, acquisition, logistics, test, and fielding support.
  • Serve as Deputy Program Manager responsible for program/project management support and services.
  • Support in the day-to-day management of the program, and develop long-term and strategic objectives with the Program Manager to help ensure that customer requirements will be satisfied in future years of the contract
  • Coordinate people and processes to deliver initiatives on time, and with the desired outcomes aligned to objectives.
  • Oversee compliance with security, safety, and operational requirements including SPOT, AT/OPSEC training, and other DoD directives.
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders and project leadership.
  • Collaborate with project team members to identify and resolve issues.
  • Establish effective project communication strategies
  • Prepare status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information.
  • Facilitate organizational change, manage the dependencies, and address any project- or organizational-level issues and risks that affect the project delivery.
  • Drive best practices and Program excellence.
  • Serves as a point of contact for customer issues or concerns
