This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems. HII-Mission Technologies’ Cyber & Intelligence team is seeking a Deputy Program Manager (DPM) to assist the Program Manager in overseeing all aspects of program execution and operational delivery. This role ensures alignment with evolving J3, CNMF, and ARES mission priorities and coordinates workforce actions across multiple sites. The DPM serves as the secondary interface with Government stakeholders on technical, contractual, and project-related matters. Responsibilities include managing program data, monitoring contract deliverables, guiding cross‑competency teams, and supporting resource, financial, and administrative management to ensure successful program performance. This role is part of a pending contract proposal. We are actively interviewing to identify qualified candidates in anticipation of a successful award.

Requirements

  • 10 years relevant progressive experience with Master's Degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Management, or related discipline.
  • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level II Program Management certification or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Must possess an active TS/SCI/Polygraph for consideration

Nice To Haves

  • Background in driving technical initiatives and integrating emerging capabilities into mission environments.
  • Experience in assessing program risks, implementing mitigation strategies, and preparing budget proposals to support risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Track and interpret changing J3, CNMF, and ARES priorities; coordinate with Site Leads to adjust workforce support accordingly.
  • Lead and direct cross‑competency teams to ensure integrated and effective support to mission requirements.
  • Maintain program data and prepare materials for briefings, milestone reviews, and status updates.
  • Oversee contractor deliverables to ensure quality, timeliness, and compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Develop and refine procedures for planning, managing, and executing contractual data requirements and administrative support tasks.
