The Injury and Violence Prevention Center (IVPC) at CU Anschutz is dedicated to reducing injury and violence through rigorous research, workforce training, and translating evidence into effective policies and practices. The IVPC conducts work across a broad range of injury topics including community violence, firearm injury, drug overdose, transportation safety, and child maltreatment. With support from the CDC, the IVPC partners with communities, practitioners, and policymakers across Colorado and the Mountain West to improve health and safety. The Deputy Director will play a key leadership role in expanding the center’s expertise and funding portfolio, with a particular focus on overdose prevention and substance use-related injury prevention. This position strengthens will also seek to grow and strengthen strategic partnerships across the School of Medicine and with colleagues in Nursing, Pharmacy, and other CU Anschutz units to advance interdisciplinary research across the campus. The Deputy Director will contribute to grant development, resource planning, and long‑term sustainability efforts while also sustaining and deepening clinical relationships that support the center’s mission and growth. This appointment requires a minimum commitment of 0.10 FTE and must be associated with a full-time faculty appointment at the CU Anschutz School of Medicine.
