Mission Action is seeking a Deputy Director to guide the organization through its next phase of growth and impact. This role involves working closely with the Executive Director to implement strategy, build efficient systems, manage finances and operations, track progress, and navigate change. The Deputy Director will oversee systems for budgeting, accounting, fundraising, internal communications, and daily operations, fostering collaboration among programs. They will ensure smooth interactions with external consultants and collaborate with three departments, the Executive Director, Executive Team, and Senior Leadership Team. Key focuses include continuous process and operations improvement, overseeing daily operations, planning, quality control, monitoring resources, creating policies and procedures, developing tracking and reporting tools, and improving information flows. The role involves developing work plans with direct reports, tracking progress, and enhancing their effectiveness. The Deputy Director must demonstrate passion for the mission, dedication to the community, and foster strong relationships with community, government, funders, and partners. They will represent the organization publicly, assist with marketing and visibility, build relationships, and support the Executive Director in identifying strategic opportunities.
