Under the direction and general supervision of the Director of Community-Wide Security, the Deputy Director, Training is responsible for overseeing and developing training process for the Community and the JFC Security Officers, Staff and Personnel. The Deputy Director, Training will be responsible for the development and scheduling of all community training programs for Jewish Schools, synagogues, and agencies and will also provide consultation and training to the Synagogues participating in the volunteer security initiative, which includes occasional weeknight and weekend in-service training. The Deputy Director, Training will assist in the development and on-going training of JFC Security Officers and Federation Staff. At the request of the Director of Community-Wide Security, the Deputy Director, Training will assist in conducting vulnerability assessments for Jewish schools, synagogues, and agencies, as needed. The Deputy Director, Training is responsible for implementing program goals and objectives, developing current and pertinent training methods, while performing a variety of administrative, professional, and technical tasks assigned to that area of responsibility. While administering training programming, a variety of techniques will be implemented for managing the development, drafting and updating of all security/safety lesson plans for community training needs. The Deputy Director, Training will continually address training issues, identify training resources, best practices and organize training events.
