About The Position

The Deputy Director of Learning Operations is responsible for the execution, management, and continuous improvement of Living Resources’ compliance training, new hire orientation, required recertification and renewal trainings, and Learning Management System (LMS) administration. This role ensures that required learning experiences are delivered efficiently, consistently, and in alignment with Agency Values, organizational goals, learning standards, regulatory requirements, and adult learning best practices. Reporting to the Director of Organizational Learning, Leadership, and Development, this position serves as the operational leader of Living Resources’ learning delivery and measurement systems and supervises training staff responsible for facilitation and content delivery.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience designing, developing, and supporting organization-wide compliance training and new hire orientation programs
  • Experience with Learning Management System (LMS) administration, including content development, assignment, tracking, and reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and use insights to improve learning outcomes and training effectiveness
  • Strong knowledge of compliance training requirements within human services, healthcare, or related regulated environments
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and oversee multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Valid New York State driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Education, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or Learning & Development
  • 5 years of experience designing, developing, and supporting organization-wide compliance training and new hire orientation
  • Experience working in residential services or developmental disability services

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the planning, scheduling, and delivery of all compliance, renewal, and new hire training programs
  • Ensures all required trainings are delivered on time and meet federal, state, and agency regulatory standards
  • Translates learning strategy into scalable, repeatable operational processes
  • Maintains consistency and quality across learning experiences and facilitators
  • Partners with external stakeholders as needed to coordinate training logistics and participation
  • Identifies gaps or risks in compliance training delivery and completion rates and implements corrective actions
  • Maintains required documentation and reporting to support audits and regulatory reviews
  • Oversees the administration, maintenance, and ongoing optimization of the LMS
  • Ensures accurate assignment, tracking, and reporting of training activities
  • Generates, analyzes, and reports monthly data on training completion, compliance status, and learner engagement
  • Monitors LMS completion rates and deadlines and provides regular reporting
  • Partners with the HRIS Administrator and IT to improve LMS functionality and user experience
  • Troubleshoots system issues and supports LMS end users in coordination with the HRIS Administrator
  • Oversees the design, coordination, delivery, and facilitation of new hire orientation programs
  • Ensures orientation programs provide a strong foundation in Living Resources’ culture, expectations, role readiness, and required compliance training
  • Continuously improves orientation experiences based on feedback and measured outcomes
  • Supervises staff responsible for facilitating new hire orientation sessions
  • Supervises and develops training staff responsible for facilitation and content delivery
  • Provides coaching, feedback, and professional development to ensure high-quality instruction and learner engagement
  • Establishes clear expectations and performance standards for facilitation and learner experience, in partnership with the Director
  • Standardizes training materials, facilitation approaches, and learner experiences across the organization
  • Partners with the Director of Organizational Learning, Leadership, and Development to align operational execution with broader learning strategy
  • Collaborates with HR, Compliance, and Program Leadership to ensure learning experiences meet organizational and regulatory needs
