About The Position

The Depot Supervisor will coordinate and manage all activities within assigned depot. In addition to providing leadership to the depot employees, the Supervisor will utilize the principles of Lean Manufacturing/5S to organize the workplace, reveal problems, and sustain improvements in quality, productivity, safety, and cost.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Certification in relevant areas, e.g. Lean Manufacturing, OSHA, Safety etc. are preferred
  • Microsoft Office Suites and Excel Skills Preferred
  • Bilingual-Spanish Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all KPI’s and other metrics are reported accurately.
  • Direct and supervise depot operations ensuring the safety of employees and that the facility meets the required KPIs.
  • Work with Team Leaders to develop adherence to SOPs, applied 6S Methodology, adherence to critical quality procedures, understanding/implementation of visual workplace, meeting production goals, and leadership skills.
  • Spearhead elimination of defects by working with repair operators, Autosort operator and others to put permanent corrective actions in place.
  • Improve plant floor performance and morale by hands-on involvement training procedures with operators and other floor personnel.
  • Assist in the development and communication of performance objectives and acceptable standards of performance for depot personnel.
  • Provide consistent feedback to maintain performance standards.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of the work force on the floor, decreasing the need for headcount while making jobs easier for employees by utilizing the principles of Lean Manufacturing.
  • Maintain a safe facility and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Oversee the plant’s safety program by monitoring for compliance with federal, state, and plant required safety rules and regulations.
  • Oversee and ensure that all required training is being conducted and in a timely fashion and recorded in keeping with OSHA and other regulatory agencies as well as PECO policy, this includes Safety training.
  • Conduct regular floor audits to ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Drive and champion employee morale as key performance metric to minimize employee turnover and absenteeism.
  • Perform other duties as needed and assigned, including Process Training / Auditing, New Hire Training, and Captain for dispersal of Quality Materials.
  • Complete/Delegate all preventative maintenance on all equipment.
  • Identify/Delegate repairs to any improperly functioning equipment.
  • In the event of emergency, quickly respond and notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol.
  • Complete/Delegate all maintenance tasks and PMs to maintenance technician and paint technician through Megamation and document steps taken and completion.
  • Ensure the Vision-X, CDLR, and paint lines are continuously working properly and that all components are maintained and in good working condition to hit production targets.
  • Manage and improves Autosort operations, identifying and correct problems that may prevent the depot from achieving metrics.
