About The Position

This role is responsible for a variety of tasks within General Deposit Operations, Deposit Compliance, and Reporting. Key responsibilities include processing deposit exceptions, positive pay review, daily report generation, handling check adjustments and incoming returns, processing research requests, daily check issuance, and creating Swim files. The associate will also manage monthly duties such as interest check mailing, assist with data gathering for subpoenas, process levees and garnishments, and support operating system updates and testing. Additionally, the role involves processing and supporting fraud claims, ACH claims, and fraudulent check affidavits, as well as CTR review, B notices, escheatment processing, dormant account review, and 1099 data creation. Imaging paper documentation, processing standard banking transactions, scanning outgoing checks, and balancing daily entries are also part of the duties. The associate will collaborate with other departments to troubleshoot issues, process ATM clearing daily, conduct online SSI/Medicaid verifications, manage audit confirmation inbox, and process auditor requests on behalf of bank customers. This includes interpreting audit requests for accuracy, interacting with members and partners, reviewing mobile checks, and processing interest rate adjustments and rate schedule changes in DNA. A significant portion of the role (60%) is dedicated to these operational tasks. The Deposit Compliance aspect (30%) involves addressing general compliance issues related to deposit products and accounts, including 1099 processing, yearend processing, state IOLTA transactions, FACT Act compliance, and Reg E compliance, as well as attending required compliance training. Reporting responsibilities (10%) include obtaining and compiling requested information.

Requirements

  • Two years of retail/operations banking experience with at least one year of customer service experience
  • Personal computer skills to include various software and banking systems, Microsoft Office experience
  • Proficient/knowledge with usage of basic office equipment.
  • Solid judgment, decision making ability, and be efficient with multi-tasking.
  • Proven telephone customer service skills
  • Knowledge and experience in the financial services industry, to include ACH, check, wire, and cards
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate
  • Knowledge and compliance with federal and state regulations pertaining to the banking industry
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Proven organizational, problem solving and analysis skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced and growth-oriented environment
