About The Position

This role is responsible for managing, retaining, and growing a portfolio of high-valued Commercial Market clients with deposit accounts and relationships. The primary focus is on new core deposit acquisition and generating new business relationships for the bank. The position also involves assisting with the development of product collateral and documentation, providing technical support, and aiding in the maintenance of products and services sold. Client product training and integration with other Commercial Markets to generate new business are also key aspects of the role. The officer will support cash management product and service sales calls with product demonstrations and presentations, and for Senior roles, support Merchant and Cash Management products and services sales calls. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4-year university, preferably in a related field required.
  • 4+ years of Sales experience in any commercial business product required (Deposit Officer I).
  • 1+ years of Sales of deposit and cash management products and services experience required (Deposit Officer I).
  • 1+ years of experience in Portfolio and revenue management required (Deposit Officer I).
  • 1+ years of Administrative support experience in related area required (Deposit Officer I).
  • 5+ years of Sales experience in any commercial business product required (Deposit Officer II).
  • 1+ years of Sales of deposit and cash management products and services experience required (Deposit Officer II).
  • 1+ years of experience in Portfolio and revenue management required (Deposit Officer II).
  • 1+ years of Administrative support experience in related area required (Deposit Officer II).
  • 6+ years of Sales experience in any commercial business product required (Deposit Officer III).
  • 2+ years of Sales of deposit and cash management products and services experience required (Deposit Officer III).

  • Must be able to operate and proficiently use standard office equipment, including phone, copier, personal computer and/or other work related mechanical or electronic devices and applications.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with all internal and external customers.
  • Must also be able to hear sufficiently to engage in daily discussions and interactions.
  • Must be able to read and understand bank-related documents.
  • Must be able to work in a conventional office setting, involving sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods of time.
  • Must also be able to adapt to different work environments as needed to perform the job.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, retain, and grow a portfolio of high-valued Commercial Market clients with deposit accounts/relationships.
  • Generate new core deposit acquisition and new business relationships for the bank.
  • Assist with development of product collateral and documentation.
  • Provide technical support and assist with maintenance of products and services sold.
  • Assist with client product training.
  • Integrate all core functions with other Commercial Markets to generate new business relationships for the bank.
  • Support cash management product and service sales calls with product demonstrations and presentations.
  • Support Merchant and Cash Management products and services sales calls with product demonstrations and presentations.
  • Generate new business through an organized and targeted calling program.
  • Develop and maintain a business referral and information network.
  • Work with Commercial and Corporate Markets and other areas of the bank to identify clients and prospects.
  • Attain and/or exceed sales (productions and portfolio growth) goals.
  • Lead with deposits (I-III) or Merchant Services (Senior).
  • Work closely with clients and prospects to identify opportunities to grow deposits or merchant services.
  • Move customers into a portfolio by increasing its profitability.
  • Identify loan opportunities and introduce lenders (I-III).
  • Provide technical business product and service support.
  • Responsible for business product and service maintenance and incident resolution.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of effective client relationships with Line officers.
  • Assist in evaluation of product line and implementation of enhancements/changes.
  • Assist in development of procedures for business products and services.
  • Generate new business in other areas of the bank through an effective relationship management process.
  • Develop new sources of fee income and increase overall profitability of book of business.
  • Establish, retain and grow business customer relationships by providing exceptional customer service.
  • Market or coordinate sale of the appropriate product or service that the bank can deliver.
  • Find solutions for the company’s financial needs through effective profiling.
  • Expand business client relationships by anticipating and identifying needs and meeting them through sale of additional products/services or referrals.
  • Make appropriate networking introductions.
  • Be responsive and provide solutions.
  • Maintain and manage customer information database and financial profiles of customers within the portfolio.
  • Provide the highest standards of account maintenance and servicing of assigned portfolio of deposit accounts (I-III) or merchant accounts (Senior).
  • Joint sales calls with Line Units to provide product demonstrations and presentations.
  • Act as business product and services liaison between Line Units and their customers.
  • Lead the team to achieve the department’s “customer-centric” cross-referral goals.
  • Adhere to the Bank’s service standards.
  • Monitor quality of service levels for clients that use business products and services.
  • Identify and resolve a variety of customer problems and inquiries.
  • Maintain high standard of customer service by responding promptly and accurately to client requests/inquiries.
