Deployment Strategist

Lightfield•San Francisco, CA
•$170,000 - $250,000

About The Position

Lightfield is hiring founding Deployment Strategists for its Growth & Delivery team. The team deploys Lightfield for customers, delivers pipeline-generation motions, supports strategic deals alongside the leadership team, and drives special projects across go-to-market and business operations. Deployment Strategists work directly with founders and their teams to deploy Lightfield as the system their company runs on, build customer memory, put AI agents to work generating pipeline, and help businesses grow. The role combines operating and building: managing multiple customer deployments while turning successful approaches into playbooks the team can reuse. Lightfield describes itself as reimagining CRM as a world model of a business, learning from emails, meetings, and customer conversations to help teams anticipate what comes next, make better decisions, and take action. More than 5,000 companies have used the product since its November launch. The company has raised more than $70 million from Andreessen Horowitz, Coatue, Maverick Ventures, and Greylock. Its team previously built Tome, which reached more than 25 million users, and includes experience from Llama, Instagram, Google, and Salesforce.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in consulting, banking, investing, go-to-market, or operating roles.
  • Strong generalist capabilities and comfort with delivery, growth, and customer-facing work; able to identify and address what needs to happen without waiting to be assigned a lane.
  • Ability to advise founders and go-to-market leaders, analyze businesses and customers quickly, form clear hypotheses from qualitative signals, and support recommendations with data.
  • Systems-thinking skills, including bringing structure to open-ended problems and building playbooks and repeatable processes.
  • High agency and ability to thrive in ambiguity, independently driving projects and delivering results in a fast-moving environment.
  • Technical comfort reasoning about data models and integrations, configuring workflows, and tuning agent behavior.
  • Excitement about AI agents and delivering customer outcomes with them.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior go-to-market and outbound experience; it is a plus, not a prerequisite.

  • Advise founders and go-to-market leaders on their go-to-market strategy and how to use AI agents.
  • Own outcomes including time to activation, meetings booked, and pipeline quality.
  • Support strategic deals alongside the leadership team, from scoping proofs of concept to helping convert evaluations into customers.
  • Take on special projects across go-to-market and business operations, including business analysis, competitive research, and new initiatives.
  • Turn effective approaches into playbooks and share learnings with product teams to improve the agents.
