Deployment Operations Specialist (Utility Partnerships)

Base Power CompanyAustin, TX
Onsite

About The Position

Base is seeking a Deployment Operations Specialist to support the intricate work of deployment operations as they launch partnerships with new utilities. This role will assist with the pipeline, scheduling, and interconnection process, guiding partner deals from signing to Permission to Operate (PTO). The specialist will also serve as the primary day-to-day contact for utility partners during the launch of new markets.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years in operations, program management, or partnerships roles that involved multi-disciplinary collaboration
  • Comfortable owning a CRM (HubSpot or similar) as the system of record — clean data in, clean data out
  • Strong written communicator, comfortable drafting partner-facing emails and materials that leadership can sign off on quickly
  • Track record of building relationships with external partners and clearing process bottlenecks
  • Organized and detail-oriented, able to track dozens of deals and approvals in flight without dropping any

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with utility companies, interconnection agreements, or in a regulated or deregulated energy market is a plus
  • Experience in energy, utilities, construction, or field services operations preferred

Responsibilities

  • Own daily pipeline health across partner queues: work across teams to catch aging deals, route out-of-pipeline issues, make config changes, and clean up CRM deal records to keep deployment operations moving efficiently
  • Coordinate handoffs between the field team and partners to keep install quotas on track and install/service hygiene high, and to prevent last-minute scheduling changes that burden partners
  • Support utility interconnection agreement processes end-to-end: track submissions, follow up with utility contacts, and drive each install to Permission to Operate (PTO). Help shape each utility partner’s interconnection workflow, spotting gaps or inefficiencies that slow installations and putting fixes in place
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with utility partners for interconnection agreements, inspection coordination, and technical requirements that affect installation timelines and member outcomes
  • Build and maintain relationships with utility reps across Base’s active markets to stay ahead of process changes, documentation requirements, and approval bottlenecks
  • Build weekly install, commissioning, and pipeline performance metrics and dashboards, identify trends, and assemble plans for improvement
  • Coordinate with Deployments, Field Ops, and Partnerships to surface utility-side blockers and resolve them quickly
