About The Position

Idaho Power is looking for a Departmental Specialist to join their Planning, Engineering, and Construction team. This role plays a critical part in serving communities across Idaho and Oregon by ensuring the safe, reliable, and affordable energy customers depend on. The position is based in Boise, Idaho, with flexible scheduling and the option to work up to 40% remotely. The Departmental Specialist provides complex, specialized support for one or more departments or administrative units, often supporting multiple senior managers and staff. Duties include maintaining complicated data systems, researching, compiling, and analyzing data for reports and studies. The work is often confidential and requires knowledge of departmental practices, company policies, and programs. This role also coordinates departmental projects and may provide guidance to lower-level staff.

Requirements

High school Diploma or GED
3 or more years of related experience or equivalent combination of formal education and work experience
Knowledge of the department's functional areas and/or company policies & procedures
Knowledge of department-specific systems and software such as MS Project, SharePoint, Asset Suite, AM Meridian, PDF editing, etc.
Skills in organization and document management
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Proficient use of the operation of systems and software
Editing and proofreading skills
Ability to understand and apply basic mathematical calculations and concepts involving fractions, decimals, percentages, etc.
Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
