About The Position

Idaho Power is looking for a Departmental Specialist to join their Planning, Engineering, and Construction team in Boise, Idaho. This role plays a critical part in serving communities across Idaho and Oregon by ensuring safe, reliable, and affordable energy. The position is based in downtown Boise but offers flexible schedules and up to 40% remote work. The Departmental Specialist provides complex, specialized support to one or more departments or administrative units, often supporting multiple senior managers and staff. Key duties include maintaining complicated data systems, researching, compiling, and analyzing data for reports and studies. The role involves handling confidential information and requires knowledge of departmental functions, company policies, and programs. Additionally, the Specialist acts as a coordinator for departmental projects and may provide guidance to lower-level staff.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the department's functional areas and/or company policies & procedures
  • Knowledge of department-specific systems and software such as MS Project, SharePoint, Asset Suite, AM Meridian, PDF editing, etc.
  • Skills in organization and document management
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient use of the operation of systems and software
  • Editing and proofreading skills
  • Ability to understand and apply basic mathematical calculations and concepts involving fractions, decimals, percentages, etc.
  • High school Diploma or GED
  • 3 or more years of related experience or equivalent combination of formal education and work experience
  • Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record

Responsibilities
