As the Michigan Department of Transportation’s (MDOT) global data specialist, you will be responsible for the following when data is shared externally to MDOT: Managing MDOT’s master and reference data repository. Serving as a key link in supporting information governance-related policies and goals as an information steward on the Information Stewards Board to: Fulfill information governance objectives. Adhere to department data standards and policies. Ensure data integrity and good data management. Provide business analytics and business intelligence services such as research, analysis and dashboard/scorecard creation related to MDOT’s master and reference data. Requirements

  • Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
  • Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.
  • All newly hired state employees are required to submit and pass a pre-employment drug test and physical (if applicable) prior to their actual appointment.
  • Criminal and driving records will also be checked if applicable.
  • Any position offer will be conditional until results of the drug test, physical, criminal background, and driving records indicate eligibility for employment.
