Under general supervision, performs, provides, and conducts a variety of training and assistance in support of the Court’s IT Information Technology (IT) system automation and technology operations. This role identifies, researches, and recommends changes to improve operations. The IT Training Specialist analyzes and evaluates business processes, researches and evaluates automation and technology related operations, and identifies and recommends improvements and upgrades to equipment, software, and court processing techniques. The position creates and provides IT training programs, determines training needs, and compiles and creates training materials. Responsibilities include reviewing and providing corrections to court-related and court-specific software programs, potentially traveling to different court departments to train employees and offer technical assistance, and providing reporting on training delivered. The role serves as a liaison between courts and regional justice system agencies and departments, attends meetings, and provides input. The IT Training Specialist writes and maintains IT training lesson plans, policies, and procedures, and associated manuals. They may assist in reviewing court operations, implementing changes to operations, policies, procedures, and protocols, and creating/updating forms. Additionally, they may provide recommendations for departmental purchasing by soliciting and evaluating vendor quotes.
