About The Position

Treasury’s Tax Administration Services Bureau – Administrative Operations Section is looking for an Analyst whose primary function is to support bureau-wide operations. In this role, you will play a key part in equipment management and tracking, troubleshooting equipment issues, system security support, records management, purchasing support, and onboarding support for new team members. You’ll be joining the Tax Administration Services Bureau, which includes the Individual Income Tax Division, Business Taxes Division, and Special Taxes Division. Requirements

  • Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
  • For Departmental Analyst 10: One year of professional experience.
  • For Departmental Analyst P11: Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service.
  • For Departmental Analyst 12: Three years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the experienced (P11) level in state service.
  • For Departmental Analyst (Departmental Trainee) 9 (FOR CLASSIFIED STATE EMPLOYEES ONLY): Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.
  • For Departmental Analyst (Departmental Trainee) 9: Four years of experience as an advanced 9-level worker in an ECP Group One classification.
  • OR Three years of experience as an E9, E10, or E11-level worker in an ECP Group One classification.
  • OR Two years of experience as an experienced level worker in an ECP Group One technician or paraprofessional classification.
  • OR Two years of experience as a first-line supervisor in an ECP Group Three classification.
  • OR One year of experience as a second-line supervisor in an ECP Group Three classification.
  • Paraprofessional classifications are those requiring an associate's degree or two years of college.
  • Alternate Education and Experience for Departmental Analyst 9 - 12: Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement.
  • Applicants with military service must provide DD214 or other official military documentation.
  • Must attach a cover letter, detailed resume, and a copy of OFFICIAL college transcript(s) to your application.
  • Selected candidate must have a safe and appropriate designated workspace or workstation for performance of work and secure and sufficient internet access of commercial cable or wireless broadband with minimum speeds of 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
  • Must work onsite Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
  • Must relocate to Michigan to perform the duties of this position prior to being appointed to the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Official college transcripts must contain the college/university name and address, the degree conferred and date granted, coursework completed (especially if no degree granted), the Registrar's signature and/or seal, and must be recognized by the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
  • Applicants who possess a degree from a foreign college or university must have their academic credentials evaluated or converted into U.S. educational equivalents unless the degree has been recognized by CHEA.
  • No prior experience with Microsoft Teams is necessary for virtual interviews.
